M ichael O'Mara Books is one of the last truly independent publishers in the UK, and one that punches well above its weight. Buster Books is our children's imprint. Our books range from novelty titles and sets of board books for pre-schoolers, to informative but fun non-fiction for children of 8 to 12 years old.

B uster's successes include the fantastic The Boys' Book: How To Be The Best At Everything. It has sold almost 400,000 copies to date and rights deals have been struck all over the world. This book was followed by the number one children's bestseller The Girls' Book, with 320,000 copies sold. The bestselling Girls' Book of Glamour and Boys' Book of Survival, published in January 2008, both made the bestsellers chart, with Glamour remaining there for 16 weeks.

T he Boys' and Girls' Book range has been expanded to include annuals and doodle books, and The Boys' Book 2 and The Girls' Book 2 are in production.

O ur Doodle books have now sold over 140,000 copies and are inspiring children - and some adults - to get creative. New for 2008 are Fabulous Doodles, Girls' and Boys' Doodle Books, The Holiday Doodle Book and Christmas Doodles.
